Welcome! I am so excited that you have chosen to check out WOWMotivation!

First, let me explain the name of my (website and) blog. WOW stand for Women of Worth. My target audience is Women.

Merriam Webster’s defines worth as the following:

1: monetary value

2: the value of something measured by its qualities or by the esteem in which it is held

3 a: moral or personal value b: merit, excellence

4: wealth, riches

I believe women, as much as men, have the ability to possess all of the definitions of worth.

As for the motivation portion, I believe that it is a vital part of success. It is not the only part, but it is important. One of my favorite quotes on motivation is “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” ~ Zig Ziglar

I have spent a vast amount of time over the last two years working on varying aspects of improvement to myself.  I have made giant steps forward in my health and fitness and my attitude.  I am working on other areas with forward movement, but have not come quite as far as I would like.  As I learn and grow in these areas I have discovered much and one of the discoveries I have made is that success and progress can not happen alone.  Much of the work can be done by oneself.  The learning and growing, however, does NOT happen in a vacancy.  I have reached out to books, online sources, and family and friends to gain information and motivation.

It is through the processes of these past years that I came to realize 2 things.  I have much to offer to other people who may be seeking or searching change, and these same people may be resources that I can turn to in my continuing search for growth and improvement.

If you are not a Woman, please do not take offense. Feel free to stay, read, and learn. I am a female. I have spent the past twelve and a half years in a male dominated occupation. Until the very recent years much of the training, education, and motivation in my field came from men. In fact, much of the training and motivation in the world seemed to be from men. Over the last several years more women have come on the scene in the world of education, training and motivation, especially in sales and entrepreneurship.

I look forward to continuing my own journey to self-fulfillment and constant and never-ending improvement. I look forward to having you come along, too. Wherever you are on your own journey, I hope you find some help for the road here. Most of all, I hope you enjoy the trip!
